I don’t like new guitars, but out of the box this is absolutely perfect. All the stuff on a new guitar that I always have to try to fix, is already done here. Out of the box. Thank you, Paul.

Joe Walsh // Guitarist, The Eagles

Last week Joe Walsh took to YouTube to announce his signature, limited edition PRS McCarty 594 Singlecut, and let me just say.. Wow.

If you’ve been following my acoustic guitar journey, you know I made the decision to only play my acoustic this year. But you know what? That hasn’t been able to keep me from straight gawking at PRS 594s.

There’s just something about the PRS take on the classic Les Paul style shape that just draws me in.

Let me just say right now, the McCarty 594 Singlecut - Joe Walsh Limited Edition is no exception.

Walsh, known for OCD-level tinkering to get his guitars just the way he likes, took this 594 out of the box, got on the phone with Paul Reed Smith, and demanded, “Out of the box, it’s perfect... Don’t change ANYTHING.”

The McCarty 594 SingleCut Joe Walsh Limited Edition features 2 humbucker pickups, for a great full, rich tone. Walsh compares the PRS 58/15 LT+ humbuckers on his signature guitar to vintage humbuckers, explaining how these handle low ends far better than today’s humbuckers.

Now for some spec porn:
