Iron Maiden’s Playin’ With WHO!?
Alright, I’m fuckin amped. Just read the news that Iron Maiden recently announced what they are calling the “Maiden England” Tour for Summer 2012. The posted line up for the Iron Maiden 2012 tour includes 30 dates, including my hometown of Boston, MA. I’m pretty damn excited about this show! Tickets go on sale everywhere March 2. The Maiden tour is said to, in terms of production, very closely mirror the ’88 concert video from the Seventh Son of a Seventh Son tour. The band will be touring with Alice Cooper all the way through June, and afterward will be accompanied by Coheed and Cambria, and the Inspring.
The Iron Maiden 2012 tour is sure to be kick-ass with a lot of energy. I’ve been waiting very patiently for Maiden to go on tour again, and it has finally arrived. My buddy Mike went and managed to get his ticket signed, my boy Alex went a few years back when the Iron Maiden tour went through boston and he got his shirt signed. This really impresses me and tells me a lot about the guys as human beings and not just rockstars. Sheds some light on the humanity and perhaps humbleness of the boys in Iron Maiden.
Iron Maiden Favorites & Memories…
My favorite, guitar wise, Iron Maiden albums would have to be Killers, Number of the Beast and Fear of the Dark. All incredible albums from each member. Iron Maiden, along with Dimebag Darrell, were the reasons I picked up the guitar back in the day. First time I was able to somewhat play The Trooper was one of the greatest (musical) accomplishments of my life. I even named my car The Trooper (lol).. Then again it was a 95 Saturn that ran until about 2 weeks ago…
Can’t wait for what promises to be an awesome Iron Maiden 2012 tour – with special guests Alice Cooper and Coheed and Cambria. I’ve been reading Ticketmaster reviews and it’s only confirming all the stories my friends have told me:
…Amazing live shows these guys shine best when they play live. When Maiden comes to your town GO SEE THEM!!…

Surely one of the greatest live shows by a metal band i’ve ever seen…

…Incredible stage show. Lights, pyro… you name it. It’s a show that always blows you away…

Iron Maiden put on an awesome show and their musicianship was outstanding…
A commercial has been released by the band for the Iron Maiden 2012 tour. The ad displays all the locations Iron Maiden will be hitting, as well as some great live backing tracks. It’s a pretty cheap video and they kinda just repeatedly announce “Iron Maiden 2012? … “Maiden England” … “Iron Maiden 2012 Tour”…. However, it’s still a pretty cool commercial. I’ve also read somewhere on the web that the band is pretty keen on preventing their fans from getting scammed into buying scalped tickets, so the Iron Maiden 2012 tour will feature a paperless ticket system for at least the first 10-20 rows.. You know, the good seats. Hahaha.
